What it reads, and from where
Only figures a channel already shows to anyone: subscribers, total views and video count, from which the app works out views per video. The call goes out from your own computer with the YouTube connection you already made for your channels, and the result stays on your disk. Nobody else learns which channels you follow.
Why YouTube only
YouTube is the platform whose API provides for reading another channel’s public statistics. Instagram allows it only through Business Discovery between Business accounts, and TikTok and X do not allow it, so the screen says which platform can be compared instead of showing an empty panel.
Why three
Three is the number of competitors a person actually keeps in mind. Twenty channels turn an answer back into a table to read.
Precision
YouTube rounds subscriber counts down to three significant figures for every channel, yours included, so compare growth over weeks rather than day-to-day differences.
