Sandbox: your own data without a review
TikTok lets a developer app in sandbox mode read the data of the accounts listed as its target users. Adding your own TikTok account as a target user is what lets Redexa Social read your videos without waiting for TikTok’s app review. The app’s guided setup walks through creating the app, adding Login Kit, enabling the three read scopes, creating the sandbox and pasting the sandbox client key and secret.
What the connection reads
The app calls TikTok’s video list endpoint for the latest 10 videos with the fields id, title, view count, like count, comment count, share count and create time. Those numbers feed the Overview, the per-post timeline, the posting-window chart and the content observations, together with any YouTube and Instagram accounts you connected.
When TikTok refuses
If the token was granted without video.list, the app reports exactly that, with the scopes TikTok did grant, rather than the generic 401 the API returns. A client key that does not start with “aw” or “sbaw”, or a key and secret from different apps, is caught before the first sign-in.
What it cannot do
Redexa Social does not post, schedule or edit TikTok videos, and it cannot read other people’s TikTok accounts: Rivals is YouTube only.
